Stoneware Japanese-style spattered black and red tea bowl

Tea bowls, or chawan- when used in Japanese Chanoyu tea ceremony, are meant to hold whisked green tea called matcha. After whisking the green tea powder with hot water, drink matcha directly from the bowl.

Made of white stoneware and fired to 2232°F/1220°C. Glaze is dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended.
