Tea bowls, or chawan- when used in Japanese Chanoyu tea ceremony, are meant to hold whisked green tea called matcha. After whisking the green tea powder with hot water, drink matcha directly from the bowl. Nodate chawan are generally smaller for use in outdoor ceremony or for travel.

~ 5.5cm x 8.5cm

Thrown on the wheel with black iron glaze on the exterior and limited edition copper glaze on the interior. Made of white stoneware and fired to 2232°F/1220°C. Glaze is dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended.
